Marilyn Rickman: Marilyn is a highly accomplished trainer and rider with extensive experience in a
variety of equine disciplines. From her first bareback ride on Sparky the Shetland pony
at age 3 she has ridden and shown in English and Western arenas as well as driving mules
and horses. She has also spent a great deal of
time riding in the high country. In 1980 she
began to specialize in Jumping and dressage
and became involved in Quadrille and
Musical freestyle in the 1990s.

A member of the Association of Professional
Trainers, she has been instructing and training
for 30 years. Her philosophy is one that promotes
respect and understanding for both horse and
rider and emphasizes communication techniques
that are compatible with the horses natural
instincts. She enjoys working with all age groups
and, whether a rider's goals are competitive
or for pleasure, she is eager to create a personal
plan to improve the relationship between horse and rider.

Jessica Williams: Jessie won her first ribbon before
she could walk! She grew up in Michigan where her
mother started horses and so she was involved in
training from a very early age. From mule packing
in Yosemite to showing in Quarter Horse shows at
a National Level, Jessie brings a huge amount of
knowledge to the Flying R Training Team. Jessie
belives that patience and understanding will take
any horse (and rider) further than fear and
domination. Students and horses learn best with
positive reinforcement and consistent practice. She
currently offers lessons for all levels and starts and
trains horses for many Western Disciplines
including Western Pleasure, Equitation and trail
riding - both competitive and recreational.
